Phil Westren - Cornish rugby legend - is my guest this week. I met Phil at the start of The Great Rugger Run this summer. He was an absolute gent, and along with wife Sally, hosted me for two nights, and really provided the most wonderful springboard for my run. Thanks again for your amazing hospitality. This interview was recorded in September of 2000 and 21 and Phil, who is a walking encyclopedia of Cornish rugby, shared story after story about rugby in Cornwall and its greatest characters. It's a wonderful insight into what the game means in that part of the world. Phil also shares a deeply personal story later in the show. Phil can be contacted on email -
