Did you know that the ice you're drinking could be making you sick? It's true, and you might not view a cold cup of ice water or that slushy margarita the same way after this episode. You see, depending on how well the owner of the ice machine has tended to cleanings, determines whether you're drinking clean ice or ice ridden with possible mold, bacteria, grime, biofilm and possibly a host of other things. 

I've brought on Randy Closson, my best friend's husband, to share and educate us on the hidden dangers possibly lurking within the ice you're drinking. With over 24 years of experience in the HVAC field working on machines in hospitals, restaurants, and hotels, Randy has seen it all and has stories to tell. I think this topic is one we all grossly need to be aware of... Pun intended. It's one of those subjects that you'll need to decide for yourself when reconsidering things like hotel ice machines (which are likely never serviced), and if you go out to dinner with friends at least now you'll know that it might not have been food poisoning, but rather- ice poisoning! It all boils down to whether that restaurant manager is cleaning his machines.
