Dr. Jen Esquer shares how to heal through moving her body. She reminds us to continue to learn and be open to possibilities.
She shares that you can be bad ass in your life. Given there are people who are born with physical disabilities who live powerfully, we can be grateful for what we still have. We forget how much a body part is part of our life until we are injured and we lose it. We need to stop being victim to our circumstance, and be proactive with what we have.
She helps us to look for what we can do, that can use our full capability. We do not need to focus on what we do not have. We need to stop limiting ourselves and get ourselves back into our capability.
She reminds us to get away from comparison while doing fitness. She talks about tuning in and doing fitness she loves, and learning from other people. She teaches us to stop judging our bodies.
She faces fear as she embraces new challenges. She reminds us to be impressed when we move through struggle.
She teaches us that we are value and we are enough as we are. She opens our minds to being open to judgments we are saying to ourselves, and how we can be more compassionate. We need to shift the energy within ourselves and outside ourselves. She gives practical strategies how we can stop negativity and tune in to self-love.
She encourages us to make movement and activity a part our daily lives. The more we listen to our bodies the more we will see the movement our body likes. She highlights the power of consistency.
She helps us understand what to do if we feel pain. She teaches us to think long term about pain and how to heal our bodies. She suggest we look at the cause, not the short term solution. You need to move if you want to heal.
