Dr. Rachel Carlton Abrams busts myths about sexuality in midlife, because, she literally wrote the book on it…and she’s a doctor, so it’s all certified.
Dr. Rachel studied at the famous Stanford University, graduated with honors, got her doctorate from UC San Francisco and even has a Masters Degree in Holistic Health from UC Berkeley. She is Board Certified in Family Medicine and Integrative Medicine. In 2008 she opened the Santa Cruz Integrative Medicine Clinic where she treats some of the world’s most influential people, like big shot CEOs, billionaire entrepreneurs and Nobel Peace laureates.
She’s been voted as the “Best Doctor” in Santa Cruz County every year since 2009. And it looks like no one is even close to breaking that track record. As a gerontologist I respect that she’s super dedicated to creating health equity and anti-racism in health care. Dr. Rachel is also an author. She wrote the books:
Bodywise: Discovering Your Body’s Intelligence for Lifelong Health and Healing
Eight Dates: Essential Conversations for a Lifetime of Love,
The Man’s Guide to Women (she wrote this one with her husband)
The Multi-Orgasmic Woman
The Multi-Orgasmic Couple, and the audiobook Taoist Sexual Secrets.
Dr. Rachel doesn’t stop, because she loves teaching courses and over the last 20 years she also works as a consultant on holistic health for national magazines, radio and television, so you probably have run into her somehow somewhere before.
Dr. Rachel is not only a practicing doctor, author, speaker and consultant, she’s also been a board member of the AHMA (American Holistic Medical Association) and is now an active board member of the AIHM (Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine), where she works on anti-racism, health equity and inclusive membership.
