Look, I get it.

Flipping houses isn’t easy.  It never was easy, and it’s never going to be easy.

It will always be competitive.

The things that worked 10 years ago… 5 years ago… 3 years ago… aren’t going to keep working forever.

If you want to last in this business…

…you have to be able to adapt.

I know people who used to flip houses a few years ago but don’t anymore, because they decided it was getting too hard, too competitive.

But I meet people all the time who started flipping houses just a few years ago, around that same time, and they’re now making $400,000+ or more per year.

What’s the difference?

The people who quit didn’t adapt.

They didn’t follow the cheese.

They stayed in the “stone age.”

And here’s the thing… the “stone age” is exactly where most house flippers are, right now.

That’s a big problem.

And that's what I'm digging into in this episode…

I’m not kidding.

Here it is…

I just got back from the 8 Figure Flipping mastermind meeting in Costa Rica, and we had a blast (in spite of the closet situation, ha ha)…

We had this whole resort almost to ourselves.

Right between the beach and the rainforest.

It was amazing…

And today I want to share some big takeaways with you.

If you want to succeed flipping houses…

(Or in any business)…

…it all depends on how you react when things go wrong.

It’s not a question of “if” things will go wrong… it’s a question of when.

Because yeah, it’s going to happen sometimes.

How quickly you progress in your business is all about your attitude and your ability to get back up and keep going when things knock you down.

So when something goes wrong…

(When you end up sleeping in a closet, for example)…

…keep your attitude under control and get back on your feet!

You guys… I discovered the secret to happiness.

(I’m not kidding.)

We work hard and create systems and grow our businesses… so we can make money and be happy.  Right?

Well, here’s the thing…

If you’re not happy right now where you are, getting more money isn’t going to make you happy.

You’re going to fail.

In house flipping or in any business…

…you’re going to get stuck sometimes.  You’re going to hit walls.  It’s going to get hard.

When some people fail, it’s all over for them.

That’s it.  They’re done.  They say, “No more.”  They give up.

When others fail, it’s just one more step on the road to success.

So what’s the difference?

What secret “thing” do some people have that others don’t, that lets them fail again and again and keep going?

Simple…

They KNOW it’s possible.

They KNOW it can be done.

And they know that if they simply do what other successful investors have done, they’ll achieve it.

It’s not easy.

But it’s not rocket science either.

If one person can do it, another person can do it.

That’s the difference.

This is why I believe one of the most important things you can do if you want to succeed at flipping or wholesaling houses is to get around other serious investors who are on the same journey or who have already achieved what you want to achieve.

I used to think mastermind groups were kind of silly.

I used to think I didn’t need any of that.

Looking back, I want to kick myself.

NOTHING has had a bigger impact on my business and my life than getting around the right people.

When you can clearly see what’s possible, because you’re watching others do it…

Well, that changes everything.

Nothing can stop you.

With that said, I have one quick announcement…

A few days ago, we opened the doors to House Flipping Formula… which means for the first time this year, we're taking on new mentoring / training students!

Woohooo!

It's been awesome getting to connect with everyone who has joined the group over the past few days…

Just 2 years ago, Arianne and Chris flipped 1 house.

Sometimes bad things happen.

Like any business, house flipping has its share of ups and downs.  Things don’t always turn out the way you want. You miss out on a deal.  A seller stops returning your calls. Problems and obstacles can come up.

And sooner or later you’ll make some mistakes, if you haven’t already.
