71. Why Do I Sabotage My Diet?

In the path to making peace with food, sometimes our old eating habits/thoughts return, and you may blame yourself for "falling off track, again!" 

You feel discouraged and tell yourself, I have no will power to eat better or stick to a diet, I am such a failure!

You become frustrated and the cycle continues, upset you can’t lose weight, mad at yourself for screwing up AGAIN, disappointed in yourself for not sticking to the plan while your friend is crushing it, and you just feel awful about yourself.

It may be the sabotage syndrome. When we define sabotage, it means to destroy. When we use this word connected to our diet, it may mean a deliberate or unconscious thought or feeling that destroys an attempt to achieve your wellness goals.

Your mindset can be your biggest enemy, as that negativity sets in, you are stuck in this cycle of trying, failing, and blaming.  

The message you give yourself through your conscious and unconscious thoughts have so much power to affect your behaviors, feelings and success.

I talk about the four A's to help you overcome the hiccups in your mindset.
