Episode 2- Jennifer interviews Kevin: I was born in South Bend, Indiana. My mom divorced my dad shortly after I was born and was left to raise my sister and me on her own. A few years later she met my step dad and they married and relocated to Galveston, Texas where I grew up. I have a sister that is 8 years older than me and a half sister that is a year or so younger than me. I didn't meet my dad until I was 12 and my stepfather never wanted kids so that definitely affected me. I was always the class clown and loved to be the center of attention. That wasn't helpful in school but has proved to be very helpful in my career. I joined the LDS church when I was a senior in High School- that changed the direction my life took. I served a mission for my church a year later to Calgary, Canada. I met lifelong friends and mentors there. I was given a full ride scholarship to attend the University of Utah. I received my degree in Economics a few weeks after our first daughter was born. During school I worked full time as a bank assistant manager and went to school full time. After I graduated I started my career in the financial service space. I am still working as an investment portfolio manager and certified financial planner. I love to travel, spend time with friends and family, go to our beach house, cook, grocery shop, buy gifts for people, serve, laugh, have fun, and compete in triathlons.
