How many hours have you logged in front of a camera in the past year?
Zoom fatigue is a real thing, and the expectation to constantly be available for virtual webcam meetings definitely takes its toll on all of us.
You may be surprised to find out that some of the people who spend the most time on camera, even actors and podcasters, actually don't enjoy being filmed most of the time.
And joining us on the show today is the wonderful Melanie Avalon, a professional actress, author of “What When Wine” and host of The Melanie Avalon Biohacking Podcast and The Intermittent Fasting Podcast.
This is a fun conversation, and Melanie has a lot of unique perspective—she's definitely dabbled in the fringes as far as different dietary approaches go. Listen in, we're chatting about:

If you've gained a few pounds over the past year, you are not alone.
According to a recent survey by the American Psychological Association, 43% of Americans gained an average of about 30 pounds over the past year.
I'll say that again.
Despite unprecedented government intervention “for the sake of our health”—using air quotes here—nearly half of Americans gained 30 pounds in the past year.
If that's you, no worries and no judgment, we're here to help. But we're also here to tell you that there is hope.
While most people are out there gaining weight this past year, my buddy Ivan challenged himself to get back into shape and cut 30 pounds.
So today, I'm honored to introduce you to my dear friend, Ivan Grant aka Melo, a fellow Dartmouth alumnus, singer and premiere bartender in Las Vegas.
Ivan recently took on a weight loss and fitness challenge with his bro, cut over 30 pounds and he already looks 10 years younger.
This is a really fun conversation with an old friend. I hope you dig it. We're chatting about...
• How Ivan shed over 30 pounds during lockdown • The worst hangover drinks • Simple strategies for drinking alcohol without losing your health • The benefits of joining a challenge with your friends and family • What to do when you fall off the wagon and need to drop a few pounds • A simple tip to cut your cravings • And tons more...

Is it possible to rewire your brain... without a brain implant?
The answer is undoubtedly yes, but the tricky part is that neuroplasticity doesn't always go in the right direction.
So how can we reprogram our brain to break toxic habits, organize a chaotic mind and optimize our mental health?
Returning to the show to help us rise above the madness of today's world is Dr. Caroline Leaf, a communication pathologist and cognitive neuroscientist with a Masters and PhD in Communication Pathology, specializing in cognitive and metacognitive neuropsychology.
Dr. Leaf is also the bestselling author of “Switch on Your Brain,” “Think Learn Succeed,” “Think and Eat Yourself Smart,” and many more. She teaches at academic, medical and neuroscience conferences around the world, and she is also host of the "Cleaning Up The Mental Mess" podcast.
So if you're ready to reprogram your brain to a higher level and shift from a threat mindset to an opportunity mindset, this is the show for you. We’re talking about…

We know women's hormone cycle throughout the month, but do men have hormonal cycles as well?
We often think of men's bodies as strictly utilitarian, unchanging and predictable... like a Jeep.
But the truth is far more interesting.
When we work with our hormones instead of against them, we can experience profound improvements in the health of our bodies and our relationships.
So returning to the show today is Alisa Vitti, a women's hormone and functional nutrition expert and best-selling author of “WomanCode” and “In the FLO.”
If you want to use the rhythms of nature and chronobiology to your advantage, this show is for you. We're talking about…

Mainstream media loves to smear red meat as unhealthy and disastrous for the environment.
But are cow farts really killing the planet or is that just a ploy to get you to buy fake meat products?
Would the fields behind my childhood home in New Hampshire, for example, really be better off without our happy backyard cows?
Would the ranches and wildlife reserves here in Colorado, replete with buffalo, elk, yak, pronghorn, cattle and mule deer, really be more environmentally-friendly if we simply got rid of all these dirty, burping, polluting animals?
The answer isn't quite as simple as the media mavens, climate alarmists and billionaires would lead you to believe.
In an age of sprawling chemical-laden monocrops and fake meat, science is being confounded and abused.
Especially with supply chains catastrophically breaking down across the world, shouldn't we be reducing external chemical inputs and focus instead on becoming more self-reliant?
When we treat nature with respect, both animals and plants can heal the soil and the land as part of a thriving symbiotic ecosystem.
And to help separate truth from propaganda, today we're back with our friend, the one and only Robb Wolf.
Robb is a former research biochemist, powerlifting champion, New York Times best-selling author of several titles, including “The Paleo Solution,” “Wired To Eat,” and his newest book co-authored with Diana Rogers is called “Sacred Cow.”
Robb has functioned as a review editor for the Journal of Nutrition and Metabolism, as a consultant for the Naval Special Warfare Resiliency Program, and serves on the board of directors for a number of innovative start ups with a focus on health and sustainability.
