Recently, President Donald Trump commissioned the Make America Healthy Again report. The report was intended to rethink the mindset and public policy and make changes to benefit all Americans. However, the commissioned report has sent shock waves throughout the government and the ADHD community.
To get in front of things, members of the newly formed non-profit Mindful Choices for ADHD organized a 2025 National Leadership Summit on the Appropriate Use of ADHD Treatments that brought thought leaders together to write a report for Congress and staff to bring awareness to policymakers. In this episode of Attention Talk Radio, ADHD Coach Jeff Copper (https://www.digcoaching.com) interviews Dr. Shanta Whitaker, Chief Scientific Officer of Mindful Choices for ADHD (https://choicesforadhd.org/). Mindful Choices for ADHD is a nonpartisan, nonprofit association working to ensure that individuals living with ADHD have access to evidence-based, appropriate, and equitable treatment. MCA focuses on fostering consensus, countering misinformation, and advancing practical solutions grounded in science and lived experience. This interview aims to highlight Mindful Choices for ADHD and share its vision for what lies ahead. The interview focuses on identified issues and areas to address. Individually, our ADHD voice is drowned, but collectively, we can be heard. If you are impacted by ADHD and recognize the need to speak with one voice and want to know what is going on, this is an episode you won't want to miss.
