Happy hour this week we are going all the way to the west coast to talk with Lauren aka Cali_Organic on TikTok. For those not familiar with California agriculture, buckle up because this is going to be a happy hour you won't want to miss!
Agronomy On Ice has grown into a tradition for a few, with every year drawing more and more. Happy hour was recorded the day before AOI on the ice with a great group: Jason and Kyle were accompanied by Greg Dahl, Karnes Neill, and Paul Tracy. All of which share their thoughts and stories they have about agronomy on ice.
Dr. Brian Jenks stops in for happy hour this week and leaves us with an incredible amount of great weed science wisdom to sit and think about. Brian's area of weed science expertise focuses on the diverse crop rotations of western North Dakota but there are all kinds of great parallels that everyone will find useful! You'll want to get a notebook ready as you'll find yourself taking notes as you make a weed control plans for next season!
Happy hour takes us to the southern plains of Kansas to talk to our good friend Holly Thrasher. Holly is a seed agronomist in the south central part of the state and we get into some great discussion about Kansas agriculture.
This weeks happy hour is spent with Kyle Stull, a Wisconsin agronomists whom is unapologetically not afraid to tackle ethical topics in the agronomy world. Not only does Kyle tackle these hard topics but is also a stellar agronomists who has spent most of his career thus far in retail but has more recently broke off on his own and is an independent consultant. Tune in for a great discussion!

Cat is the Director of Research and Sam is an Agronomists Account Manager both working for the McGregor Company in SE WA. The area Cat and Sam call home is the Palouse region of the Pacific Northwest and is arguably the most productive wheat region in the entire country. Working with farms that have fields with 500 feet of elevation change and extreme slopes is an everyday thing for these two. Tune in for a great episode as Cat and Sam share about agriculture in the Palouse region. Did we mention they like the right kind of beer?
