When you hear the expression ‘all in’ thrown around in the eating disorders recovery community, what does it mean to you?
Do you think of it as a form of refeeding which solely pivots on multiple takeaways and consuming every kind of ‘challenge’ or ‘fear’ food which had previously kept you stuck?
Perhaps you think about it more as a way of ‘leaping in’ and embracing recovery more fully, determining to move away from any plan or regime which you no longer feel serves you.
In this episode, Debbie chats to Pippa – a previous podcast guest – as she tells us her experience of going ‘all in’.
She talks about recognising when restriction was still in her mindset, and when she learned that her body was respecting her nutritional decisions and trusting her more completely.
Do share your comments if you’ve also tried all in and have a different interpretation.
