Investigators are trying to piece together what happened in a Michigan home that led to 47-year-old Kris Karolkiewicz shooting and killing his six children, his wife and then himself after setting the family home on fire. We know Kris recently lost his job as a Vice President with the American Heart Association, but it’s still unclear if that played a role in the unthinkable tragedy. Investigators say they found his licensed firearm near his body, and the rest of the family members shot to death in their bedrooms. While police confirmed he did not leave behind a note, investigators have seized what they call “a lot of documentation” from the home.

The final and fifth day of the D4vd preliminary hearing brought even more surprising evidence to light, and gave more insight into David Anthony Burke’s defense. A judge ruled the prosecution brought forward enough evidence to bring the singer to trial, but several, shocking text messages from 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez to D4vd, paint a much different picture about their relationship.

It’s day one of testimony in the Lindsay Clancy triple murder trial, the 35-year-old mother who strangled her three young children, but blames postpartum psychosis for the killings. The first witness was Clancy’s ex-husband Patrick, also father to 5-year-old Clara, 3-year-old Dawson and 8-month-old Callan. Patrick Clancy described his wife’s declining and confusing mental state in the days leading up to his children’s deaths. He’s expected to testify for both the prosecution and defense, and has publicly defended his ex-wife, saying she is not a monster, she was just ill.

A sad and disappointing back and forth continues to rage online between the attorney for Nolan Wells’ family and the volunteer search team that found the 18-year-old 2 days after disappearing from a Fourth of July celebration. The Cajun Navy, along with the Governor of Mississippi have called Ben Crump a liar for repeating what a member of the Navy said during a Nancy Grace interview about what clothing Wells was found in, after discovering his body. A horrific story out of Oklahoma has left two children without their mother. 43-year-old Sara Gilson joined in on a TikTok trend pretending to sit down for a Netflix documentary, that she said would be about her “soon to be ex-husband who I just found out is a pedophile.” Two weeks later, her young son called 9-1-1 to say his stepdad shot his mom. Police found Gilson dead, shot in the head next to her 48-year-old estranged husband who had a self inflicted gunshot wound. We go into the backstory of this tragic outcome, beginning with the allegations against her ex, that ultimately led to both of their deaths.

Day 4 of the D4vd, aka David Anthony Burke, preliminary hearing was the most disturbing day of testimony so far. There were audible gasps in the courtroom as the medical examiner showed photos from the autopsy of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez, detailing how the young teen was stabbed twice and then dismembered. We also heard testimony from a police detective who went over the sexually graphic and explicit photos and videos between D4vd and Celeste, including text messages describing at least one pregnancy and abortion.

As “The Odyssey” continues to dominate the box office for the second weekend in a row, Elon Musk has renewed his vow to create an AI version of Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey”. Musk maintains that Nolan cast non-white characters in his movie in order to be considered for the Academy Awards.  Musk, telling his followers, “Before this year ends, Grok Imagine will make a full-length movie of The Odyssey that is historically accurate and true to the art of Home.”

A tragedy … and a mystery in Michigan. A family of 8 — including 6 kids — was found dead after fire crews responded to reports of smoke at a home in Grand Haven Township. But authorities say “some” of the dead were shot.
