In today’s age of hustle culture, the grind, and working to live - we know how easy it is to participate in this mindset. As two high-achieving entrepreneurs, we’ve certainly learned the hard way that overextending yourself will lead to burnout.
You guys know that we love to challenge ourselves and have a lot on our plate but we are not here to romanticize grinding 24/7. It’s easy to think that putting in excessive hours is solely highly productive but it can eventually put your mental, emotional, and physical health at risk.
Allison and Ceara dive deep into what burnout is, its signs, and its side effects. Feelings of exhaustion, being trapped, spreading yourself too thin, cynical attitudes, counting down the minutes left in your shift, and detaching from the present moment are all common signs that we have noticed as a result of being burned out.
We offer a variety of solutions and ideas to help you navigate whatever area of your life that burnout could be happening. Burnout can also occur from relationships, friendships, school, sports, hobbies, traveling, or attempting to maintain a certain lifestyle.
