In this episode of the Becoming You podcast, I talk about the power of asking for miracles to come into your life.
- Miracle #1: Meeting my father’s old boss in the most unlikely of places.
- Miracle #2: Meeting a podcast listener on a far-off island.
- Miracle #3: Getting an early flight home at literally the last second.
- Four lessons which prove that receiving miracles every day is easier than you think
We think of miracles as events or opportunities that have a very tiny chance of manifesting themselves, and we usually associate them with something “positive” or “good”.
I certainly have had my share of miracles, and each one always stands out as an unbelievable, exciting, and even humbling experience.
Here are my four biggest takeaways when it comes to manifesting miracles, and how you can begin to receive them in your own life, every single day!
The world is so intricately connected.
The Universe wants to give you what you desire.
Most of us float through life believing that the world is out to get us. When life gets hard (which happens a lot), it feels like we’re pushing this big rock up a mountain, all alone, like we’re carrying all the burdens of the world.
But the truth is, everyone has felt this way, and at many points in their life. We all share struggles, challenges, and opportunities for growth. All this connects us as humans.
To be human is to be connected, to each other and to the Universe itself. In other words, we are not alone, and together, we go farther than if we journey alone.
Help is always there for us.
We just need to ask for it.
There are invisible forces at play that are always here to serve us: angels, loved ones who have passed on, God, spirit guides—whatever it is that you believe in, the common thread is that there is an invisible force conspiring in your favor.
You just need to reach out. They are waiting for your command.
None of us are more deserving than another. The only prerequisite you need if you want help is belief.
The more you believe in miracles, the more they tend to happen.
Whatever you believe in will show up in your life.
When you wake up every day thinking, “I wonder what kinds of miracles will occur in my life today?”, it’s inevitable that miracles will manifest that day.
With that approach to life, rather than wondering whether a miracle will take place, your brain will instead be looking for evidence of a miracle, with the expectation that they will always come your way.
So, what is a “miracle”, exactly?
I think we tend to set our expectations either too high or too narrowly when it comes to defining what a “miracle” is.
A miracle is more than just winning the lottery.
A miracle is when a stranger gives up their seat for you on a train.
A miracle is you getting the last thing of guacamole in the supermarket.
A miracle is waking up to live another day.
Every good thing that comes into your life, no matter how little, is a miracle. When we slow down and start to see it that way, we actually pave the way for even grander miracles to show up.
On the flip side, if we fail to see the tiny miracles occurring all around us, we labor through life instead of loving life.
The more we recognize miracles, the more joy we allow into our life.
