If you’re in a long-term relationship, chances are at some point you’ve at least explored ways that you can navigate things when you disagree. Because ultimately it’s not the good bits that keep us together, it’s the way we handle the difficult bits.
The slightly handy part of an long-term intimate relationship is that when words fail you, there’s the stuff that you hear about in Marvin Gaye songs.
But what if when you get that feeling you can’t access the sexual healing because you’re in a band and rule #1 of being in a band is don’t sleep with anyone in the band.
Osher’s guest today is Phil Jamieson is the lead singer of Grinspoon, one of Australia’s greatest rock bands. True road warriors, they’re about to head out for a colossal adventure around the nation, in some places having to create venues, because the places they once played no longer exist.
If you’ve never thought about what it takes to put a band on the road, and indeed keep a band together for as long as they’ve been together - this conversation will shed a lot of light on the realities of life as a member of a band which is truly a household name.

Osher talks a lot about how important it is to be playful in your work, and how important it is to fully commit.
Playful not as a way to faff about on the clock - but as a way to discover creative ways to solve problems, to be more productive and to keep a team engaged.
And to fully commit as in “look if we’re going to do this, we’re going to pour everything into it, and let’s see what happens.”
SMAC is an LA based dancer who grew up in SE QLD - while you may not recognise her name, but if I told you she’s also known as hydraulic press girl - you will know exactly who.

Horrible bosses are quite the trope.
We’ve all had the boss that makes things difficult right?
But what makes a great boss?
Amy Shark was with Osher the other day, and she spoke wonderfully about how cool her boss was… So how can we be a better boss? Even a better boss for ourselves?

Osher’s guest today is Amy Shark - an acclaimed Australian singer-songwriter who after years of toil and being told no - burst onto the music scene with her breakout hit "Adore" in 2016 followed by her debut album, "Love Monster," which topped the charts, and earned her multiple awards, including Best Female Artist and Album of the Year.
When Amy sings, she sings with heartfelt storytelling that has solidified her as a prominent figure in Australian music.
This is a frank, open and honest chat which might surprise you when you hear the difference between what you think the financial position of an Australian musician is and the reality.

The other day when Bernard Fanning and Paul Dempsey were here, we touched on something dear to my heart - using music as a way to enhance your day.
I’ve used music as a tool for as long as I can remember.
To shift mood states, to help me remember things, and to concentrate.
It’s the last one that had me thinking a bit - and it’s something I wanted to share with you in the hope it might be useful

What would you do if you had nothing to prove?
If you were free to make any project you liked, in whatever shape you liked, to reflect your experience in that moment?
Better yet - what if you got to do all of this with a close mate you’ve known for over 20 years?
That pretty much describes the conversation Osher has around the new music from Bernard Fanning and Paul Dempsey.
Two seminal Australian singer songwriters, they both have enormous careers and a legacy of music which has been the soundtrack to Australian life for nearly 30 years.
Yet when they team up - the music they make sounds nothing like Powderfinger or Something for Kate - yet is still so very distinctly them.
The new album is “The Deluge” - “Fanning Dempsey National Park”.
Are touring in Oct - OG will see you there.
