  • How To Feel Safe Giving Offenses To God When Justice Hasn't Been Served

As Christians we often hear how God would have us forgive those who have offended us.  There’s truth in this and it is important.

But when it comes to the deep wounds of narcissistic abuse, trying to forgive feels impossible - even insulting!

At best we feel like a guilty failure because we just can’t do it.  At worst it stirs tremendous anger & resentment in us - even anger toward God.

We understand the struggle associated with this.  You’ll find no self-righteous judgment from us because we’ve experienced it too.

The problem is that holding onto the righteous indignation associated with deep offenses committed against us isn’t protecting us, hurting the narcissist or bringing about justice.

It’s holding us in bondage so we need to do something about it.

There’s another way to approach this whole subject that I think you’ll find refreshing and freeing.

So pour yourself a cup of tea, get comfy and let’s talk about how to feel safe giving offenses to God when justice hasn’t been served.

  • How To Restore Hope As You Walk Through The Depression and Anxiety Stage

We’ve all heard about the 5 stages of grief, but it’s very different when it comes to grief involved with narcissistic abuse.

Initially, there’s that sense of  shock and dissonance when we’re putting 2+2 together, followed by feeling driven to uncover the truth.  Then the outrage hits as we realize how badly we were lied to and manipulated.  So what naturally follows is depression and anxiety.

Although it’s normal to experience depression and anxiety at this stage of the journey, you really want to avoid getting stuck in that stage because it can suck all the color out of your days and control your life.

    It’s no way to live.

After what you’ve been through you deserve the victory of feeling light-hearted and hopeful!

Pour yourself a cup of tea, get comfy and let’s talk about what’s going on in this stage and how to get to the other side of it with a renewed sense of hopeful expectation of good things to come in your life.

  • Steps For Making Peace With Your Past and Finding Joy Again

We know while the narcissistic relationship was in full swing it had its claws in every aspect of your life.

Now that it’s over you may still wrestle, occasionally or even a lot reconciling what happened and it’s casting a shadow over you and your future.

The problem is that you’re still caught up with aspects of  the past, and how you see yourself now,  which means the narc is still influencing you from afar.

As a result you’re stuck in some areas and unable to make peace with  your past so you’re free to experience authentic joy.

It’s entirely possible for you to kick the narc out of your head so you feel free, so you like who you are now and feel the world is your oyster, not in spite of what you’ve been through, but because of what you’ve been through.

  • How To Handle Righteous Outrage To Clear Your Head and Feel Calm Again

Once you’ve come to terms with the fact that you were dealing with a narcissist, that you were deliberately and knowingly gaslighted and emotionally abused, among other travesties, the normal and natural response is outrage.

As a matter of fact, I’d be worried if you weren’t outraged.

You’ll find yourself dealing with a righteous indignation and demand for justice, especially in the first year.

If you’ve got minor children with the narcissist and are dealing with prolonged legal battles you might find that outrage triggered over and over again.

It isn’t easy, but there are practical and spiritual strategies that can help you clear your head and  feel calm again, without stuffing the emotions in a box in the closet of your mind.

You can manage like that for a while, but you’re not really free and whole.    Continuing in that mode means it’s just a matter of time before you crash.

    Because in that mode you’re...
…you’re making do operating on 4 cylinders when you really have 8 cylinders of power meant to  build your life and make an impact

…you’re just getting by each day rather than passionately chasing your dreams

…you’re exhausted from trying to appear normal while  feeling heavy-hearted and overwhelmed rather than being light-hearted, full of laughter and enjoying some adventures.

To become the YOU you could be, and are meant to be it’s crucial to make space in your life for resting and doing the work of healing your heart and mind.

The life you’ll make for yourself on the other side of that work will be so worth it!
