Self-sabotage can be easily defined by it's ChatGPT definition: "Self-sabotage is when someone undermines their own success, well-being, or goals through behaviors or thought patterns that create obstacles or prevent progress. These actions often arise unconsciously, driven by fear, self-doubt, unresolved trauma, or conflicting desires."

But, it isn't as pretty as those words are all neatly packaged in two sentences. Self-sabotage can be ugly and brutal. Especially when you have BPD. Today Leslie is here for a guest co-host episode to talk all about it.

What an interesting episode to record. Apparently, Nick Cannon has Narcissistic Personality Disorder. He recently came out with his NPD diagnosis and I have a lot of thoughts. 1. This is SO important that he came out publicly. 2. I didn't love the video clip response to his coming out, but perhaps I'm a bit biased. Either way, this is important dialogue that we NEED celebrities, authors, influencers, and well known individuals to talk about. 

When people come out with their disorders, those of us with highly stigmatized diagnoses become less hidden. One person at a time.

Claire has been on the podcast before in the past and fast forward a few years and she's married and in her final year of graduate school to become a clinical therapist. I first met Claire long before she was even engaged and I'm feeling some strange nostalgia as I write this.
