Moving on to Chapter four ... Motherhood.
Jenny talks about the reality of becoming a first time mum and what it really felt like at the time. Mairead talks about similar feelings and both agree that it is the steepest learning curve of their lives. In the book there is some advice for anyone new into the world of Motherhood. Mairead talks about the plans she always had for a fourth baby that unfortunately never happened and the IVF journey she went on. And there is a chat about the word Motherhood and how it doesn't have to necessarily involve having biological children - 'To be female is to mother, and for the most part we should be mothering ourselves'.
