The Government's phasing out of the fuel subsidy scheme - to finish late March next year.
The fuel subsidy will stay 25 cents a litre until the end of February -- then drop to 12.5 cents, until the end of March.
The half-price public transport scheme will last until the same time - with both extensions costing taxpayers an extra 116 million dollars.
