They examine us and give us the EXACT prescription for our eye glasses and contact lenses.  When we go to a shoe store, we find the perfect fit based on our unique features; for example, a shoe that is extra wide or has additional support and cushioning. Today’s episode is part II of our Estate Planning series. Last week Abigail and Anna shared with us the importance of estate planning, and providing access and authority.  For example, who has access to what and who are the decision makers if we can no longer make decisions for ourselves in a medical situation. Today we pick up on where we left off and turn to estate planning in terms of what happens after our own passing. We put all of this time and energy to prepare a living will, let’s make sure we make it easier for our loved ones to be able to focus on the good memories and grieving without having to worry about the logistics of funeral arrangements, probate and or guardianship.

In today's episode, we speak with Ria who underwent a single mastectomy direct to implant. What she wasn't expecting was the infection that occurred after her surgery. Because of the infection, the implanted needed to be removed. Then COVID-19 hit. This enabled Ria additional time to reflect on her experience with breast cancer, grieve the loss of a breast,  and ultimately decide whether or not reconstruction was right for her.

When Stage III, HER2+ breast cancer survivor Jennifer Wallace told me I need to stop working out, but start working in, the light bulb went off in my end! After a dramatic experience like a breast cancer diagnosis, we clammer to hold on to the tangible and control as much as we can. But what if we could start incorporating techniques that can ease our anxiety, teach us how to harness the power of our breath, and reduce our stress.
