We continue to discuss Mike Mcdonald arriving in Seattle for his second interview and the strong possibility he is going to be the Seahawks choice. Plus, Justin and Salk have another edition of Ranked for you.
The KJ Wright Show is all about the head coaching search for the Seahawks and KJ reacts to the news that it appears to be narrowing down to Ravens DC Mike Macdonald. We hear a funny story about a former teammate of KJ's and Brock asks if the way Macdonald has schemed against Shanahan is an important factor as to why Schneider & co want him in Seattle.
Brock & Salk start accepting that the signs are leading toward Mike Macdonald as the next head coach for the Seahawks as he is flying to Seattle for another interview, or is this all just the team doing it's due-dilligence? Former NFL player & current broadcaster Ross Tucker joins Brock & Salk to discuss what he knows about Mike Macdonald.
Salk opens the morning with some fresh podcast reviews of the show before shifting back into the coaching conversation and (what we all hope is the final day) how close the Hawks could be to a decision. The Kraken fall to the Sharks and Salk shares concern about Matty Beniers before we revisit the conversation with Jerry Dipoto.
We go through some of the pros and cons of Ben Johnson, Mike Mcdonald, and Dan Quinn when it comes to finding the next Seahawks head coach. Then, Salk gives Brock a hard time about his old man rant yesterday and fills us in on his new puppy. Plus, we rank the M's five best offseason moves and news breaks that Lions OC Ben Johnson is staying in Detroit.
Brock & Salk are joined by Mariners President of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto to discuss the Jorge Polanco trade, how this offseason has been compared to others, the plan for the pitching staff and Mitch Haniger's return.
Brock & Salk spend some time discussing what there is to like about the Jorge Polanco trade and Brock is especially happy about how this sharpens the lineup when Salk runs down what it currently looks like. Salk takes some time to express his frustration over what he learned Friday about college football before Brock's Blue 88.
Salk starts the show with a story about the new member of the Salk family who is finally home and has him very excited. The Mariners agreed to a trade with the Minnesota Twins sending Jorge Polanco to Seattle. Salk is joined by Phil Mackey (SKOR North, Minnesota) who covers the Twins to share on who Polanco is as a player & teammate.
Brady Henderson and Brock discuss the latest reports on the Seahawks coaching search and the possibility that we have an answer here in the next couple of days. Then, they each give their biggest takeaways from the championship games and we rank the most cursed franchises.
Brock spends the entire first segment getting "things off his chest" that have been bothering him ranging from celebrity couples & baseball players before Brady & Brock are joined by Jamison Hensley from Baltimore to discuss current Ravens DC & Seahawks coaching candidate Mike MacDonald.
