  • #144: TRU Healthcare Leader Series: Polarity Intelligence

In this second episode of our three-part series, we focus on leveraging Polarity Intelligence™, which is Pillar #2 of our Dynamic Balance EffectTM (DBE) Framework.

Polarity Intelligence applies the “missinglogic” to leverage the unavoidable tensions and challenges impacting your daily life.

The thing is, most healthcare leaders feel these tensions are problems to solve because it’s the only lens they’ve ever known. If you treat them as problems and you don’t realize that you’re experiencing unmanaged polarities, you will realize your greatest fears and end up failing.

In this podcast, we talk about the numerous tensions that act on you and how to identify and leverage them to establish a balanced life.

We also talk about four crux personal polarities and their early warning signs, and negative outcomes if you over-focus on one over the other.

  • #143: Making Mindful Choices to Prevent Burnout and Strengthen Leadership Identity

In this first episode of a 3-part series, we focus on making Mindful Choices which is Pillar #1 of our Dynamic Balance Effect™ (DBE) Framework.

Mindful choices as one of the pillars encompasses how to live and choose from the principles or values that ground you in what matters most and provides the guardrails for your life.

But how can you make mindful choices and choose from the principles that guide and ground you? You need to step back, reevaluate, reconnect, and recommit to the most important things to you and the principles that can guide and center you.

In this podcast, we discuss what helps you make mindful choices, what we've learned personally about making mindful choices, and the key learnings we've had with healthcare leaders across the country.

We also talk about the different elements in Pillar #1 and some examples of how they come alive.

  • #141: 5 Reasons Healthcare Leaders Must Shift Leadership Norms to Prevent Burnout

Can we create new leadership norms in healthcare?

Most healthcare leaders and organizations are literally living in  “one day or moment at a time” survival mode. In fact, more and more healthcare leaders are leaving their positions due to burnout.

Therefore, we believe NOW is the perfect time to challenge the current leadership norms and shift to NEW leadership norms.  It is time to be bold enough to stop sacrificing yourself for your team and organization.

We need to create new leadership norms where all healthcare leaders can be their best selves at work and at home, live more balanced lives, experience more joy, and become role models for new emerging leaders.

In this episode, we talk about the top five reasons to shift the healthcare leadership norms and why we are being called to be BOLD.

We also talk about the book of Bronnie Ware, “The Top Five Regrets of the Dying: A Life Transformed by the Dearly Departing,” and how it relates to our current leadership norms.

  • #138: Balancing Masculine & Feminine Energy to Prevent Burnout In Leadership

Every human being has masculine and feminine energy, but it’s often misunderstood that feminine energy only comes with a woman or masculine energy only comes with a man.

If your masculine energy and feminine energy are unbalanced, one of those energies becomes dominant, and you will feel off-balanced in your life and experience negative consequences.

Therefore, understanding how to leverage both energies will help you understand the shifts that are happening at a global level to balance this energy.

In this episode, we talk about a foundational “Mother Polarity” or “Master Polarity” of Masculine and Feminine Energy and how you can leverage them.

We also talk about some actions to increase your masculine and feminine energies and how these energies can contribute to burnout when there is an overemphasis on one energy over the other.
