In this episode, we talk with our special guest Lizzy Cangro about her book “Reclaim the Rebel: 12 Rebellious Acts to Achieve Unconditional Love for Your Body” and some rebellious acts to help you transform your health and wellness.
Lizzy is an expert nutritionist and wellness coach with a deep passion for helping others feel good about themselves and love their body unconditionally. Inspired by her journey to wellness, she founded Nutrition by Lizzy in 2017 to help clients rebel against the diet industry and achieve sustainable long-term health and wellness using a combination of nutrition, movement, and mindset.
Lizzy shares her journey of recovering from an eating disorder to rediscovering compassion and unconditional love for her body. We also talk about how to use our love languages to improve our relationships with ourselves and what we can do to silence that “inner mean girl” and rewrite our stories.
At the end of the episode, Lizzy offers a gift to all MissingLogic listeners: Visit https://nutritionbylizzy.com/shop/rebel and enter the code REBEL at checkout to get your ebook copy of Reclaim the Rebel.

In this podcast, business leaders navigate the challenges of high-pressure jobs, tackling burnout, micromanagement, and decision fatigue while honing emotional intelligence, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities to strengthen their leadership identity. Through discussions on leadership development, stress management, conflict resolution, and time management, listeners gain insights into achieving work-life balance, overcoming the struggles of being overworked, and fostering personal growth in the ever-evolving workplace.
In this third and final episode of our 3-part series, we talk about Caring for Each Other and how you can spend more time caring for each other in your leadership teams as fellow leaders and friends.
We know that new leaders feel incredibly lonely as they have been literally "thrown in" into leadership roles with minimal management experience and have so much to navigate through the constant stress and change. In fact, it's not uncommon for most healthcare leaders these days to "feel alone."
The other thing is that healthcare leaders often feel isolated because they have a fear of being seen as weak, especially when leaders have been indoctrinated to become strong, so there's a fear of saying we need to "Care for Each Other."
In this podcast, we talk about some examples of Caring for Each Other and how it's different from Caring for Others.
We also talk about the Gallup published article in 2018: Why We Need Best Friends at Work and some of the limiting beliefs about building relationships at work.

In this second episode of our three-part series, we discuss Caring for Others and why it’s important for Thriving, Resilient, and Unstoppable (TRU) leaders.
We know serving others is in your DNA as healthcare clinicians and leaders. We’ve been indoctrinated to become servant leaders, always focusing on the needs of our team and organization before our own needs.
Servant leadership is not a bad thing. In fact, this approach to leadership is very rewarding and honorable until you “over-serve” and neglect yourself. As a result, you’ll end up feeling stressed, exhausted, and unfulfilled.
In this podcast, we share a few of our tips for Caring for Others that we put into action with our team, clients, and families.
We also discuss some of the benefits of Caring for Others and some of the consequences of over-serving your team and organizations.

In this first episode of a 3-part series, we focus on Caring for SELF and why it's essential for Thriving, Resilient, and Unstoppable (TRU) leaders.
We know most healthcare leaders have a limiting belief that self-care is selfish. In fact, we've been indoctrinated to put ourselves last in the lists of our priorities.
The thing is, if you overfocus on "Others" to the neglect of caring for "YOU", you'll experience negative consequences and end up feeling burnt out, exhausted, and your needs go unmet.
In this podcast, we share WHY you need to be cared for first, what we have learned personally and professionally, and some great SELF CARE action steps to care for you.
We also talk about some of the leader's limiting beliefs about self-care and why prioritizing yourself is important.

Through discussions on leadership development, stress management, conflict resolution, and time management, listeners gain insights into achieving work-life balance, overcoming the struggles of being overworked, and fostering personal growth in the ever-evolving workplace.
We know healthcare clinicians and leaders have been through unbelievable stress and trauma over the past two years. In fact, they had to make difficult decisions and deal with very challenging situations during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Therefore, understanding post-traumatic growth and some simple action steps can be helpful to healthcare leaders and organizations to support their emotional, spiritual, and physical well-being.
In this podcast, we talk about how a “post-traumatic growth” mindset and strategy can help you move the negative outcomes from the past into a place of positive healing, well-being, and personal growth.
We also discuss the five domains of post-traumatic growth and how they align with our work with healthcare leaders in our multiple coaching programs leveraging our Dynamic Balance Effect™ Framework.

Polarity Intelligence applies the “missinglogic” to leverage the unavoidable tensions and challenges impacting your daily life.
The thing is, most healthcare leaders feel these tensions are problems to solve because it’s the only lens they’ve ever known. If you treat them as problems and you don’t realize that you’re experiencing unmanaged polarities, you will realize your greatest fears and end up failing.
In this podcast, we talk about the numerous tensions that act on you and how to identify and leverage them to establish a balanced life.
We also talk about four crux personal polarities and their early warning signs, and negative outcomes if you over-focus on one over the other.
