Roman Kemp was joined by Sian Welby and Sonny Jay as they took a minute to explain why they went off air last week, on Tuesday, 4 August.

Capital Breakfast lost one of our close friends, Joe Lyons, who was a loved colleague by the whole Capital team. Producer Joe had worked at Global for nine years, on Capital, LBC and as part of Global's video team.

Speaking of the loss of his close friend, Roman said "We wanted to just take a minute to explain a little bit more on why we went off air last week."

Shaggy protests that it wasn't him quite a lot, but he was literally snapped snubbing Prince Harry with his daughter. The 'Banana' singer spoke to Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp about how he was left humiliated when his five-year-old daughter blanked Prince Harry, after she confused him for a Disney prince.

KSI and Nathan Dawe have both joined Roman Kemp, Sian Welby and Sonny Jay before, so they know things are never normal. They didn't quite expect, however, how weird it was going to get, after we played - wait for it - KSI Spy With My Little Eye What's Behind Nathan's Dawe.

Can - can you honestly believe we got paid to do that?

Ten years ago, the world was introduced to a five-piece band called One Direction. One decade later, and we're still celebrating their excellence, which is why Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp was joined by Liam Payne.

The 'Strip That Down' singer spoke about his first impressions of Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik, as well as being snubbed by Cheryl during his first audition.

The guys were also joined by TikTok star, Niko B, who - fresh from releasing his hit 'Who's That, What's That', put his Pokémon knowledge to the test.

Anne-Marie has just dropped her new song 'To Be Young', so we wanted to find her oldest fan - who wishes 'To Be Young' - and get her to grill the '2002' singer. There was a catch, however - it wasn't an OAP at all; in fact, it was a worryingly convincing Sian Welby pretending to be an elderly grandmother. Get her an Oscar already.

Love during lockdown can be difficult, which is why Charlie Puth came to the aid - armed with his trusty keyboard - to help one of his fans ask out his potential girlfriend. (Meanwhile, I can't even get a text back from the person I've been chatting to on Tinder.)

Roman Kemp likes to think he's funny. We didn't say he was; he just likes to think he is. So when Katy Perry dropped her new bop 'Smile', he took it upon himself to try and - you guessed it - make her smile. WARNING: This podcast may contain traces of Dad jokes.

We also hung out with Jason Derulo, who is not only a chart-topping singer, and a TikTok megastar, but also a GOD when it comes to dating advice, so, for Sian's sake, we wanted to get some serious tips.

And you won't find a bigger Ryan Tedder fan than Sonny Jay. By which we mean Sonny is a huge fan; obviously we weren't talking about height-wise. Which is why Sonny wanted to put Ryan's musical knowledge to the test, in a cheap attempt to get a free gig with the OneRepublic singer.

This week's podcast is just like RuPaul's Drag Race... Except for the budget and the fact that Roman's not wearing a dodgy mask that we'll never, ever reference.

Michelle Visage has judged Snatch Game for years - she's seen some of the very best celebrity impersonations around. And then, when she joined Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp, she heard some of the very worst ones too.

Drag Race stars, The Vivienne and Blu Hydrangea also stopped by to celebrate all things LGBT, and just before we were filled with joy, Roman brought us back down to earth by challenging the two stars to beat his Mega Hard Super Quiz.

Ava Max also spoke about how her newest bop, 'Kings & Queens', has become a gay anthem, as well as what she's been up to during lockdown.

Ever since Little Mix's Leigh-Anne Pinnock announced she was getting married, I've been sobbing hysterically. Well, the feels are coming back again, after Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp asked the 'Break Up Song' singer about how she was proposed to. (And, yes, most of the tears come from Perrie Edwards; not us.)

Dua Lipa also joined Roman, Sian Welby and Sonny Jay... But there was something different about her; a brand new hair style, which can only mean one thing - new music. The 'Physical' pop sensation hinted that we could be hearing a brand new bop very soon. Keep your ears peeled.

Saturday nights haven't been the same since lockdown began, so Marvin Humes wanted to bring the Saturday night feel to us, as he challenged Sian and Sonny to their own game of The Hit List. Sonny did so well. As for Sian, well, let's just emphasise the word 'challenged', shall we?

Anne-Marie has been busy writing and recording songs during quarantine, but most importantly, she's become a mother to tonnes and tonnes of different plants, which she toured for Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp.

This week, Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp rubbed shoulders with the stars. Especially KSI's huge boxing shoulders. The YouTube legend spoke about the current injustice in the world, and why he's supporting the #BlackLivesMatter movement.

Harry Redknapp and his son, Jamie, also tested each other's patience, when Jamie started going on about the stresses of working with your own father. At least we didn't have that problem...

Until Ro's dad, Martin Kemp, joined the team to talk about their brand new show, Martin & Roman's Sunday Best. We've heard about the first show, and all we're saying is that it would be a sin to miss it.

In this troubling times, Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp came together to discuss the important #BlackLivesMatter movement, following the death of George Floyd.

Roman, Sian Welby and Sonny Jay spoke to producer 220 KID, who has recently been attending protests, to discuss his take on the situation, and why this is so important for justice.

Roman's Mega Hard Super Quiz is undoubtedly the toughest quiz on the radio and on Fridays it's the kids turn to try and make it into the elite. This week, Roman thought he was going up against 8-year-old Rachel... except it turned out it was actually 34-year-old Rachel Riley!

However, there was one slightly ironic question that completely floored the Countdown maths champion...

Roman, Sian and Sonny were also joined by Alan Carr and what do you do when you're joined by 'Flowers' DJ Nathan Dawe on the show? You play a game of 'what’s behind Nathan’s Door with Nathan Dawe,' obviously!
