①英语中闯红灯的“闯”不是用“break”这个动词
常用“run”
run the red light 闯红灯
例：That car is running the red light.
那辆车闯红灯了。

②闯红灯还可以用：jump the red lightjump表示忽略掉，直接过马路
例：Don't jump the red light.

③还有一个说法： jaywalk[ˈdʒeɪwɔːk] 乱穿马路
可以表达闯红灯的意思也可以指其它乱穿马路的行为
例：If you jaywalk, you could easily get hit by the car.
