90% of generational wealth is gone by the grandkids…it’s not the money that’s just gone, it’s also their legacy that’s gone. So how do you flip the script and disrupt that cycle? By teaching your kid to think, go through healthy struggles, and create value!
On this episode of FYCE, Scott Donnell, founder of Apex Leadership Co, Hapbee Technologies, and the GravyStack™ banking app for kids and families, shares how all this is possible for you & your family! Since 2011, his companies have taught leadership, fitness, and financial competency to over 6 million kids nationwide.
Teaching your kids how to create value in the world will not only make a better life for them, but it will also change the dynamics of how society functions. It’s not about what you do for your kids, it’s what you do WITH them. It’s never too late to learn how to teach your kids to be creators & contributors, not consumers!
“You need to put your kids through healthy struggles to get capabilities, to get the skills, to instill the values…once you overcome a struggle, you gain the capability…once you have the capability, you gain the confidence.” - Scott Donnell

It’s been proven that 90% of generational wealth is gone by the grandkids. Even as adults today, there’s things that we don’t know or we’re not taught in finance. So how can you change that so your generational wealth doesn’t go extinct & your kids learn these important financial & life lessons?
GravyStack - the app that can change the future for your kids, grandkids, and great grandkids!
On the last episode of FYCE, Scott Donnell, creator of GravyStack, broke it down to simply this: you need to create and put your kids through healthy struggles. This is what will give them the ability to learn and understand what resilience is!

“Your weaknesses are your strengths with fear attached.” -Henry Ammar
How you respond to that fear and how you actually show up is going to create whatever outcome lies ahead for you.
Think back in your own life: when have you had situations where you tried something new and it didn’t go as planned? When have you felt rejection and wanted to give up because of that?
At the crossroads of any challenge, you have a choice to give up or go all in. These are the moments where, when you have clarity of your purpose and drive, you will see that it was not rejection - it was God giving you REDIRECTION.

Have you gone through challenges or been rejected in your life to where you feel like giving up?
On this episode of Finding Your Competitive Edge, Human Behavior Expert & Impact Entrepreneur, Henry Ammar, talks about how the many setbacks in his life have been the catalyst for his success and happiness.
At the crossroads of any challenge or type of rejection, we all have a choice: we can say, “Fine you’re right, I give up” or, we could just get up and say, ‘No, I'm going to go all in and give it another shot.’”
This could be related to a job, a relationship, an inner struggle: whatever it may be, there is always a way to use that challenge or rejection as a stepping stool. What you think is a rejection is actually a redirection!
Your calling is yours. Your impact is yours. Who is someone to tell you that’s not for you? Put your focus on trusting yourself and God, because that will flow into and provide the peace you need in order to focus on and pursue your calling.
“You need to have a clear, level, deep, self-awareness of where you are in your life and live in your power of choice…because if you don’t choose, life will choose for you and you will live a very dysregulated life.” - Henry Ammar

Celebrate your wins, especially if it’s a win out of your comfort zone!
3 ½ years ago I decided to create this podcast and it was completely out of my comfort zone. I didn’t let my feelings operate more than what my standards were and now, we have now officially surpassed the 100th episode!
We always need someone around us that inspires us - that’s what kept me going on this podcast journey…Who are the people around you that are pushing you outside of your comfort zone?
Don’t settle for average! Push yourself outside of your comfort zone to the point of where you want to quit, you want to say no, you wonder if it’s possible: then take that chance to overcome it!
“I believe the force of average in all of our lives, every day, throughout our day, is working against us and is actually the enemy. It’s not someone down the street, it’s not some arbitrary thing that we make up. It’s truly the force of average pulling us in to be lazy, complacent, not doing what we know we need to do, letting our feelings operate more than what our standards are.” - Brian Covey

Getting out of your comfort zone is one of the hardest things to do. One of the easiest ways to do that is to find your tribe that will inspire you, help you believe in yourself, & take action on those beliefs.
For our milestone 100th episode of Finding Your Competitive Edge, special guest Karen Broadwater shares her story of how getting out of her comfort zone not only changed her life for the better, but also gave her the opportunity to change the lives of others.
From starting as just a member to becoming the President of Iron Tribe, the fastest growing fitness franchise focused around group-training, Karen Broadwater has become an inspiration and model for what success can look like if you understand that you are made for more and, instead of just thinking about it, you take action!
“We always need someone around us that inspires us…it’s the group environment of ‘if they can, I can’.” - Karen Broadwater
