  • Q&A Webinar from February 5th, 2025

In today's webinar, Tom answered questions that were previously submitted to us from our community.

    Topics included:
    1. What exactly is it about eating spoiled or rotten food that makes us so sick?
    2. With so many people getting cancer, does the New Biology Clinic help people navigate through the many non-traditional treatments/options?
    3. Can you explain how the oral polio vaccine can be as dangerous as the early injected version? It is said that polio can be transferred to others in the early days after taking the oral version; is this via contaminated water or other smoke & mirrors?
    4. If you were to write a high school textbook on the New Biology, what would it cover? I'm waiting for a concise, simply presented, introductory explanation.
    5. How does one become a doctor, if not through education/university system. Knowing all this info about viruses, emf, alternative medicine, etc.? One still would need a license to give any advice, no? What do you think of being self taught?
    6. From the New Biology perspective, what is the purpose and cure of psycho-emotional experiences, such as "anxiety disorder"?
    7. Do heart attack victims really even need stints put in? And do any of the meds they put these people on afterwards actually benefit them or do they decrease lifespan also?
    8. Is it intelligent to put the request upon the Congress to make the production of Genetically Modified Foods punishable under the Law?

    New Biology Experience link here.

    Highlights from this session include:
-Tom opens with “science news,” commenting on articles about time moving backward in quantum systems, simulated vacuum decay, and a “new state of matter” allegedly inside Uranus.
-A discussion on diabetic lower-leg and foot ulcers, reframing them as stagnation and poor metabolic flow rather than “infection,” with comments on debridement, movement, metabolic restoration, and chlorine dioxide compresses.
-A broad reflection on MTHFR testing, genetic explanations, cancer metabolism, mitochondria, and skin lesions, arguing that these reductionist models often distract from the whole person and lived reality.
-Tom discusses cancer as possibly being better understood as the body’s adaptive response to toxicity, rather than simply a genetic or metabolic disease.
-A response to the question “was contagion ever real?” where Tom distinguishes between people influencing one another and the idea of contagious disease.
-A critique of a reported “gene therapy” case involving restored hearing, emphasizing the importance of asking what was actually done rather than accepting the explanatory story.
-Brief comments on eating offal, antibiotics, sterilizing surgical equipment, and chlorinating pools.

Tom closes by reminding viewers there will be no webinar next week and to watch for the launch of Cowan’s Community Corner.

  • Group B Strep, India Updates & More 4/22/26

Tom opens this week’s livestream with two announcements:

Tom thanks everyone who participated in the Dr. Cowan’s Garden Anniversary Sale & the DrTomCowan.com annual spring sale and expresses gratitude to customers for their continued support.
-Registration remains open for the New Biology Experience at Polyface Farm in June. Tom shares his excitement about the music, dancing, lectures, food, and connection planned for the event.
    New Biology Experience link here.

    Highlights from this session include:

-Tom opens with commentary on a new rabies shot for animals, criticizing the short testing window, the use of animals in vaccine experiments, and the broader logic behind veterinary vaccination.
-He points listeners to the Rethinking GBS: Beyond the Germ Theory webinar for a deeper look at Group B strep, calling it an important issue for pregnant women and arguing that the testing and treatment surrounding it are unnecessary.
    See more info here.
-Tom discusses a legal effort in India challenging top virologists and government officials to provide scientific proof that viruses exist and that microbes are the causative agents in disease, noting that the case has reached the Supreme Court.
    See more info here.
-He shares a short piece on voluntarism and reflects on the idea that no one can delegate to government a right they do not possess themselves.
-Tom reads from an essay on “the hyperreality of the state,” using it to explore how models, indicators, and simulations have replaced lived reality not only in economics, but also in medicine, biology, and science more broadly.
-He closes with a critique of modern theoretical physics, focusing on the idea of “asymptotic freedom” and using everyday examples to argue that scientific models have drifted far from observable reality.

Tom closes the session by encouraging viewers to keep questioning official narratives, stay grounded in lived experience, and continue exploring the world through direct observation rather than theory alone.

  • Science News + Q&A 4/8/26

Tom opens this week’s livestream with two updates:
-Registration remains open for the New Biology Experience at Polyface Farm in June 2026. Tom shares that there are still tickets available and says attendees can expect music, dancing, talks, good food, and the chance to meet new people.
-He also shares excitement about the upcoming launch of Circle, our new community platform expected to roll out in early to mid-May, as another way for people to interact with Dr. Cowan’s team and with each other.
    New Biology Experience link here.

    Highlights from this session include:
-Tom comments on reports about the BA.3.2 “highly mutated” COVID variant, arguing that claims about its spread and mutation profile are based on non-specific wastewater sequencing and fear-based speculation rather than proof of a real virus.
-He reviews a USA Today article on rising colon cancer cases and criticizes the diet of a featured gastroenterologist, using it as an example of why mainstream doctors should not be trusted for nutrition advice.
-Tom makes a satirical aside about Artemis and alien life, joking that NASA has already found photographic evidence of aliens, though not intelligent ones.

    A thoughtful Q&A on:
-Do children who go through so-called childhood illnesses get less chronic disease later, or are they healthier later?
-What about scabies and why does it happen? Is it real? And what you should do about it.
-Can COVID shots, be transmitted sexually?
-Somebody asked about auras without migraines
-What about fungal infections, particularly ringworm?
-what about an EMG study or ultrasound for a person with issues with their hips or sacroiliac joint and lower back pain?

Tom closes by encouraging listeners to stay attentive to the upcoming Circle launch, keep an eye on updates about the New Biology Experience, and continue focusing on real food, careful observation, and practical ways of supporting the body.

  • Meningitis + Science News Webinar from 3/25/26

Tom opens this week’s livestream with an announcement about a new community platform launching in early May 2026 through New Biology Clinic and DrTomCowan.com.
-New Biology Clinic members at any level will be included at no extra charge.
-Graduates of the New Biology curriculum will receive a trial membership.
-Tom shares that the goal is to help like-minded people connect online first, then build real in-person friendships, local relationships, and practitioner support.
-He also ties this initiative to the upcoming New Biology Experience at Polyface Farm in June, describing it as part of a broader effort to bring people together in community.
    New Biology Experience link here.

    Highlights from this session include:
-Tom shares several pieces of “science news,” including a story about a python blood molecule being studied as a possible appetite suppressant, which he uses to mock the logic behind new obesity drug development.
-He comments on a report claiming that a third of Americans believe in an impending apocalypse, pointing to what he sees as a contradiction between welcoming doomsday and wanting institutions to prevent it.
-Tom reads and analyzes a comment from Australian microbiologist Christopher Peacock, focusing on Peacock’s claim that the “only difference” in viral plaque assays is the presence or absence of the virus. Tom argues that such a statement would require prior purification of the virus from the sample, which he says virologists themselves claim is not possible.
-The main topic of the session is meningitis, especially the claim that Neisseria meningitidis causes meningitis and septicemia. Tom reviews a scientific paper on meningococcal pathogenesis and argues that the theory fails because the bacteria are commonly found in healthy people, while actual illness is rare.
-He highlights what he sees as a major weakness in the mainstream explanation: the researchers themselves admit that the mechanisms by which the bacteria move from harmless colonization in the nose to life-threatening disease remain largely unexplained.
-Tom argues that the theory becomes increasingly speculative, shifting from bacteria, to subtypes, to genetic differences, to signaling pathways, instead of proving direct causation.
-He also notes that there is no convincing animal model for meningococcal sepsis or meningitis and says this undermines the claim that the bacteria are the true cause.
-In discussing a recent teen meningitis case, Tom speculates that vaping-related toxins such as nicotine, propylene glycol, heavy metals, and carcinogens may be a more plausible contributor to brain and tissue damage than the bacteria themselves.
-He closes by arguing that meningitis vaccine campaigns are built on flawed reasoning and by reaffirming his challenge to Christopher Peacock to produce proof that a virus was isolated before cell culture.

  • Science News + Mitochondria Webinar from 3/18/26

Tom opens this week’s livestream with an update on the upcoming New Biology Experience at Polyface Farm (June 2026)
-Registration is still open, and Tom shares that the event will bring together speakers, musicians, good food, and community for a meaningful in-person gathering.
    New Biology Experience link here.

    Highlights from this session include:
-Tom introduces the central question of the talk: whether mitochondria actually exist, and if so, what we truly know about what they do.
-He challenges the idea that many core concepts in modern biology—such as hormones, vitamins, genes, and biochemical markers—are “discovered”, suggesting instead that they are constructed through laboratory processes.
-A critique of modern pharmaceuticals and testing, including examples like testosterone treatments and evolving cholesterol markers, illustrating how shifting frameworks often replace rather than resolve flawed assumptions.
-Tom explores how scientific claims are built through indirect methods like subcellular fractionation and antibody tagging, arguing these rely on circular reasoning and unprovable assumptions.
-A detailed examination of microscopy evidence, emphasizing that while small “squiggly” structures can be seen in cells, there is no clear proof of their structure, contents, or function.
-He critiques widely accepted mitochondrial functions (energy production, disease causation, etc.), stating there is no direct evidence linking observed benefits (like red light therapy or diet) to mitochondria.
-Tom emphasizes the importance of distinguishing between observable effects (feeling better, improved function) and unverified explanations (mechanisms attributed to mitochondria).
-He concludes that focusing on abstract biological explanations can disconnect people from direct experience, observation, and practical healing.

Tom closes the session by encouraging viewers to return to **real-world observations—food, light, environment, and personal experience—rather than abstract scientific constructs when thinking about health and healing.
