Today's episode we open up the hotline to answer some of your burning delemias and questions. Strap in for some shitty advice as we cover compulsive heteronormativity, staying as far away from a forbidden crush as possible, coming into queerness "later" in life and why Kath has no time for people that think women are "too pretty" to date.

Today we dive deep into grief with our resident psychologist Chris Cheers. We are no strangers to grief, if you have experienced loss on any level you have most likely found yourself in the throws of grief against your will. Although universal, it can be very challenging. Especially if we don’t have the tools to work through it.
Kath shares their recent experience with death of a loved one and asks Chris all their burning questions on moving through it. Aimed to hopefully help anyone else experiencing loss navigate it healthily.

The fact it took us till episode 12 of this season to introduce sound bite segments to the chat… the most Kath coded thing EVER. Today it felt only fitting before we go on another little break to talk about our feelings as we introduce the CWK hotline to the podcast.
Kath sits down to answer some listener questions about mental health, romance, friendship and ED recovery. As well as giving us a not so well thought out unsolicited hot take to ponder on the break.

There is a lot of conversation about safe spaces… What they mean, why they are important and how they are created. Today we further dive into this with someone who spends a lot of their livelihood doing just that.
Welcoming club kid and curator Rio Bayani to the pod. Co creator of Le Bunker, a Paris based events group that prioritises creating nights for Queer POC. This conversation is a further exploration of what it means to create such spaces.
There’s also some poo chat, more “Love Lies Bleeding”, why English speaking people need to stop butchering the French pronunciation of words and why we are marrying testosterone.

Between phone sex, the AFL and bi-curious lesbians. This episode has it all.
Kath sits down with one of their closest friends Sandy to chat about sexuality and its fluidity. Why labels are important but they don’t define us and why they both found the more comfortable in their sexuality they were, the more curious about their possible desires they became.

Todays episode is a little more of a mellow pace as we reflect on Mardi Gras season 2024, with the tragic passing of Jesse Baird and Luke Davies at the hands of a cop one week out from the parade. What does this mean for our discussion surrounding Police presence at Pride? And what does it mean to truely create safe spaces for queer people?
Does pride belong to us anymore or has it truely lost its meaning as we reflect on its history.
Kath also reads a few passages from the book “Simple Pleasures” by Clare Gogerty for a soothing moment of stillness in all the chaos.
