  • RAM: Injury Free is My Fastest Path to Success

    RAM (Repeat and Memorize).

Injury Free is My Fastest Path to Success.

When we start out exercising we are incredibly injury prone. To make matters worse we have years of bad-programming that causes us to think we need to push hard even when we are feeling significant pain. Much of the time this results in overuse injuries, painful joints, and sprains that end up causing us to be held back even further with our fitness goals. This is why it's so critically important to remember that staying injury free, especially when you are getting back into exercise, is the best way to ensure you'll continue to progress.

  • Snow - How to get yourself out in it with a smile.

Here's how to break through the barriers to getting out in the snow.

    - Are you afraid of falling? Feet traction and yak tracks could be a safety option. Also consider simply walking in snowy grass where the traction is safe.

    - How long are you really going to be out there? Do you really need to gear up completely? Or can you step outside for a few minutes?

    - It's a lot of work to get dressed to go outside. Consider this part of your movement for the day!

    - Feeling depressed makes going outside nearly impossible. Imagine I'm there with you encouraging you to get outside and soak in a few minutes of vitamin D.

    - Did you know that the lighting for photos is amazing when there's snow on the ground and clouds in the sky? Today could be the perfect day to take photos of people and things you love. This includes taking a photo of yourself too!

    Enjoy your snowy days!
