In this episode, I’m sitting down with my friend and powerhouse photographer Sophie Kaye to talk all things luxury client experience, Bridal Fashion Week, and how to carve out a brand that’s both elevated and deeply personal. Sophie shares stories—from five-star hotel moments that reshaped her approach to client care, to how she got started shooting bridal fashion—and she’s not holding back.
We talk marketing strategy (including why good work alone isn’t enough), personal branding in 2025, and why being accessible, present, and yourself is your best business move. If you’re ready to elevate how your work is perceived, get booked by aligned clients, or step into the fashion world, this one’s packed with actionable gems. Stay tuned to the end for some takes and tips you can implement immediately.
Sophie Kaye is a wedding, editorial, and fashion photographer based in New York City. After beginning her career in the photo department of Teen Vogue, she quickly moved on to shooting runways, campaigns, and working with couples who seek out a more styled, editorial aesthetic for their celebrations all over the world. A lover of art and history, Sophie uses a combination of film and medium format digital to capture soft, romantic images that feel inspired by eras past. Her work has been featured in VOGUE, Forbes, Over The Moon, Martha Stewart Weddings, The New York Times, and more.
