Jared recently made history by becoming the first driver to win a Mazda MX-5 event on an oval at Martinsville Speedway a few weeks ago. Nine of our beloved short tracks in North Carolina have recently come together to form the North Carolina Short Track Coalition. We don't have a lot of details yet on what this means for the asphalt tracks in North Carolina (Bowman Gray, Southern National, Wake County, Tri-County, Caraway, Ace, Carteret, New River All American & Orange County) but Julian spoke with Ace Speedway Promoter Jason Turner and he shares some of that phone conversation that tells us a little bit more about this exciting endeavor.
The South Carolina 400 is this weekend and the boys break down the big Late Model Stock race in Florence. Over 50 cars will go for a prestigious win, $10,000 and a palm tree which includes some of the toughest competitors in the region not to mention some guy named Dale Jr is running. Jody and Julian recap the season finale with exclusive comments from race winner Justin Bonsignore, Matt Hirschman, Carson Loftin and Jake Crum.
The zMAX CARS Tour crowned champions in the Pro Late Model and Late Model Stock Division. Jody and Julian break down all the key storylines as Kaden Honeycutt rallied from being down six points before the race and a few close calls during the race to walk it off with a win and the championship. He spoke to Julian following the race and we captured his thoughts about the season. We also caught up with runner up in the race TJ Decaire, Owners Champion Spencer Davis & third place Cameron Bolin following their nights.
Brenden "Butterbean" Queen survived issues with his throttle and a near accident early to claim the late model championship. He discussed this with Julian following the race and gave his thoughts about what this means to him. We also hear from the main challenger for the title Connor Hall and Carson Kvapil who is leaving the CARS Tour full time to go run the Xfinity Series full time for JR Motorsports next season. Conner Jones who drives for Mike Darne Racing ended the season with two straight wins and we also caught up with him following his win.
Joey Logano wins at Las Vegas and is going to race for a title at Phoenix. We give our thoughts about this and the topsy turvy day at Las Vegas which included Tyler Reddick rolling down the front stretch, Larson's comeback and how Paul Wolfe played the gas mileage game to help Logano win.

Melton took home the trophy on Saturday at South Boston Speedway and the former New Year's Bash winner tells us about his weekend, how he got his start, his inspiration for his awesome throwback schemes he runs and we find out indeed where his money is. It was a treat to talk to the Street Stock veteran and you'll need to tune in for the entire interview!
Officiating is the name of the game this week in nearly every series we covered this weekend. Burt Myers picked up his first win of the season Saturday at South Boston but it didn't come without controversy. An interpretation of the rule book caused the tour to turn the SMART 3 into the SMART 5 for North Wilkesboro. We give our analysis of what went down and what to expect this weekend for the season finale.
The zMAX CARS Tour saw it's Pro Late Model event came down to it being shortened because of the curfew at Tri-County and Tristan McKee having his victory reversed due to him jumping the last restart. This awarded the race to second place finisher Kaden Honeycutt and Julian caught up with him for an exclusive conversation about that and his big plans for 2025 in the Truck Series.
Fuel was a major issue as contenders ran out of gas in the Late Model feature Saturday. Conner Jones survived the carnage and had enough gas to claim his first win since 2022. We were able to catch up with him. We discuss that plus Connor Hall's new ride for 2025 and what the two championship contenders need to do this weekend in the North Wilkesboro finale.

Ovitt describes his feelings about visiting the 3/8ths mile bullring for the first time, the close racing with Jeff Melton and what he thought of his nephew winning his first race in New Hampshire on the same weekend!
