Sub-District Administrative Organisations (SAOs) Election and local election perspectives

We're back on #democracyxinnovations English edition again. We're just back from observing the latest local election; the Sub-District Administrative Organisations or SAO election: Thai อบต. It is the smallest but the most in quantity compared to other types of local administrative organisations. Interestingly, it has different background than other type of local authorities such as Provincial Administrative Organisation: PAO; อบจ or Municipality; เทศบาล that no parties explicitly claim that candidates are members or supported candidates, because they support anyone who are in power. This exclusive and uniqueness of SAO type of local administration is interesting as it is the important mechanism for the general national elections.
