His son Brexton came up short in the pursuit of his first A-main start but the story was the uproar around a promoters provisional offered to the young driver, which he would decline. We also talk about the upcoming Chili Bowl and some other news from around racing.
This week we sat down with two time AFCS Champion, FAST Champion and track champion DJ Foos. DJ has been racing for nearly his entire life and tells us all about what it's like racing against the same people who he grew up watching. We also talk about the Rumble in Fort Wayne which brought some hurt feelings and some great racing!
This week we talk to writer J.A. Ackley about his new book "Outside Groove: The Best Laps From Short Track America." J.A. has been a motorsports writer for many years and tells us about his new book and some of his past experiences in the motorsports world. Before we talk to J.A. we talk about the PRI show and all of the news that came out of the Indianapolis convention.
This week we recap the Gateway Dirt Nationals also known as "The Dome" in St Louis. Love him or hate him, Tyler Carpenter was able to make it back to back wins in St Louis. We also touch on the purse inequality between the late model and sprint car divisions. We also talk about some recent news of the USAC stars jumping ship to head to winged side of the sprint car world.
