As we observe National Estate Planning Week, people are beginning to realize that estate planning is not just for the wealthy. Anyone who owns an asset that they want to leave to another needs a Will. But, everyone needs a Health Care Power of Attorney, Living Will and Durable Power of Attorney. Don't wait until you find yourself in a medical emergency and no one is able to make decisions for you. Remember just because you are married and/or living with the person does not entitle you to any medical records or to make medical decisions. Often times even being the parent of a grown child gives you no rights.
Blair Cato's own Marshall Minton joins me today to discuss what you need to know about estate planning.
Plus, in my segment "SAY WHAT" I read the funniest Will ever recorded in Richland County and of course Gary's Good News Only.

Like you; Brand Clarity Expert, International Speaker, and Author, Suzanne Tulien, notices the variety of creative ways people are ‘branding’ themselves both consciously and unconsciously.
But, is a successful personal brand the result of powerful marketing? When the hype subsides, what keeps a good personal brand going strong? What is the real secret to personal brand growth and leadership?
With over two and a half decades of strategic communication, employee brand engagement, and internal brand development, Suzanne’s inside-out brand building strategy creates the clarity and actions necessary for her clients to drive consistency, distinction, and advocacy long-term. Because her Brand DNA approach is radically different, she is paving the way companies and personal brands elevate their value position and actually reduce marketing costs while growing market share. Suzanne has been interviewed on podcasts all over the world. As author of The 6 Myths of Small Business Branding and co-author of Brand DNA; Uncover Your Organization’s Genetic Code to Competitive Advantage, also published in China, and her latest book Personal Brand Clarity; Identify, Define, & Align to What You Want to Be Known For…she is helping to pave the transformational highway to grow by conscious, strategic design; not by DEFAULT!

September is REALTOR Safety Month and with good reason.
Real estate agent, Jason Compton, shares his harrowing story of being held at gunpoint while showing a house. Hear the entire story as well as how he survived and what happened to the assailant. It is guaranteed to scare you and make you mad.
Unfortunately, attacks like Jason's are not unusual in the real estate profession. Nine percent of all real estate agents reported being attacked in 2019. Twenty-three percent of real estate agents even said that at some point in the past year they felt unsafe in their profession. The number rises to 41% for female agents. Only 5 percent said they never felt unsafe at work.
This week's podcast provides you these stats and more from the National Association of Realtor's Annual Agent Safety Report as well as Jason's story. And because this topic is so important we went a little over our normal 30 minutes timeframe.
