Having always desired to direct his professional efforts toward bettering peoples’ lives, he didn’t realize that—in entering the health care field as a doctor—he was entering a “sick care” versus a health care system. For this reason, he decided to regroup and focus on “health span” which is an approach to human health that prioritizes leading a long, high quality life.
