Emma Heatherington is an international best-selling author whose 17 novels have been translated right across Europe. She has written over 50 educational short films and plays, ghostwriter for Philomena Begley’s autobiography (My Life My Music My Memories, 2017) and Nathan Carter’s life story (Born For The Road). Nathans was a finalist at the Irish Book Awards in 2018.
She’s a mum of five and one of the most inspiring, down-to-earth women you’ll ever meet.
Emma shares the real story behind her success, from growing up in Co Tyrone and losing her mum at just fifteen, to following her passion for writing and landing global publishing deals.
She talks about how she found the courage to leave a safe job to chase her dream, what it really takes to handle rejection in the creative world, and how her life changed overnight when she was diagnosed with incurable blood cancer, Multiple Myeloma. Through it all, Emma’s strength, honesty and humour shine through. She reminds us what it means to trust the process, be bold, and keep going even when life knocks you down.
This conversation is emotional, uplifting and packed with wisdom for anyone navigating hard times or chasing a dream. Whether you’re a writer, business owner or just someone in need of hope, you’ll feel inspired after this one.
