Initially Jason started talking about how to break free from anxiety, but then went deeper into learning about how to be calm in the midst of our chaotic world, and how to be confident even when we’re dealing with insecurities.

Why Jason Wrote the Book (5:12)

He began coaching executive leaders on how to break free from anxiety, but the realization of how many people he could help became clear after only being able to coach people 1-on-1, so he wrote the book to take what he does in coaching to reach the masses.

Can People Truly Overcome Anxiety? (7:38)

Jason discusses how (through his coaching and the book) we can discover the signs that trigger us and recover quickly. We learn that through proper coaching and adoption of the tools and skills, we can rebound from triggers quicker than before. We dive into practical steps on how to manage emotions and feelings so that they don’t overtake us.

Where Do Leaders Struggle the Most? (12:03)

The World Health Organization shared that anxiety, stress, and depression is costing the marketplace $1 billion per year. CEO’s and Executives are beginning to address the mental health issues that employees are facing. Prior to the pandemic, the focus was on the external, the ROI, the bottom line. How much money can you bring in? Now, post-pandemic, the focus has shifted to the internal one rather than the external one. The focus is on the person before the process.

Take Ownership (18:48)

“Problems are external to who people are”. Leaders struggle when they look at their people and the external circumstances and begin pointing the finger rather than taking ownership. We are 100% responsible for everything we think, everything we feel, and everything we do. We make a choice.
