Electrical Lords // Should You Even Care About Quote Conversion Rates?

This question is kinda rhetorical but kinda not tbh. 


We discuss including, but not limited to, the following topics re: quote conversions: 


-how a 10/10 conversion rate can mean you have excellent long term customers

-how a 10/10 conversion rate can also mean you are too cheap and are targeting the wrong customers  

-why it’s important to assess where the leads are coming from (ie FB ads might be 50%, repeat clients may be 80%, cold calls might be 0%) 

-assess the type of lead/s (are they quality / time wasters etc) 

-the importance of checking if there any rhyme or reason with the converted ones vs the not converted ones (ie quote out on site, quote out on time, follow up call made, follow up procedure etc) 

-checking if you actually had the available resources (ie staff) to service the job

-could there have been better questions asked in the quote stage (ie more information, ask if anyone else is quoting, ask about budgets etc) 

-ask the client for feedback if you lose the job (was it to someone else, a better system, a better price etc) 

-looking into your response time (ie delayed on return phone call or initial email response) 

-quote presentation + why it matters sometimes but not all the time 

-and last but not least, the age old “ oh no I am being too difficult to deal with” (ie admin to owner to operations back to admin lost in translation)
