I know you've heard me talk about gratitude practices before and how it's something I prioritize daily. I know you've also heard everyone else talk about it, too. I know many of you probably think it's just this fluffy practice that won't actually help, or that it sounds great but in reality you don't think it will actually help change they way you feel in your life. For all of you who feel this way, I have put this episode together to prove you wrong!
I'm going to dive into WHY gratitude is so powerful and why you should stop overlooking it as a daily habit you practice. I personally think my gratitude practice is just as important as nourishing my body with what it needs and honoring my body with movement.
Are you ready to find out why?

I know when we are embraced int he holiday season, eating all the treats, drinking more holiday cocktails, and a little bit more out of our routine than we usually are, it's common for insecure thoughts about our body to arise.
When these thoughts of insecurity arise, it takes away from us experiencing our lives to the fullest. All we can concentrate on is what our body does and doesn't look like and the deprivation and punishment we need to give to our body. This is no way to spend the holidays, and NO WAY to live your life whether or not it is the holidays.
That's why in this episode of Embrace Your Real, I want to share a new way to look at your body that will help you see your body in a new light.
I know this time of your is the time of year when we are all tempted to over-indulge. And it's the time of year where most of us DO over-indulge. So if we do, then what? What do we do afterwards? Did you not accomplish what you wanted to this year? Are you beating yourself up about and calling yourself a failure?
The end of the year is coming up and I know for many of us, it magnifies the fact that we are not where we thought we would be. We feel frustrated we didn't accomplish what we said we would or we didn't get to where we wanted to be. I know this can be extremely discouraging, frustrating, and puts a damper on our self-esteem.
That's why I wanted to share a few reminders with you to help you look at what you "didn't accomplish" in a different light and help you change your mindset so you keep pushing forward.

I'm releasing this episode right after thanksgiving because I know SO MANY of you are experiencing this right now. You're having thoughts like, "WHY did I eat so much?" "I'm so mad at myself for over-indulging", "I need to go on fad diet ASAP"…you know what I'm talking about here.
Well, having food guilt is NOT going to help you develop a healthier relationship with food OR your body, so that's why I want to share these seven reminders with you today. Even though I may reference Thanksgiving a lot in this episode, these reminders are applicable throughout the entire holiday season.
So save this episode to come back to again and again if you struggle with food guilt over the holidays.
Okay, so if things in your life are not going as planned, if life feels hard, you feel like no matter how hard you try, it just doesn't matter, if things don't seem to me falling in place the way you want them to, and things feel like they are falling apart, and everything you want seems so out of reach, and you feel completely hopeless….this episode is for you. I have a super important reminder I need to share with you.
The holidays can be a really hard time of year for those of us who struggle with our body image and our relationship with food because for some reason, people like to make comments on our body and the food we eat.
Unfortunately, we cannot control what other people say, but we can control what we do, how we respond, and the way we speak to ourselves. That's what I want to dive into today in this episode of Embrace Your Real to help you enjoy the holidays and not allow the comments of others and your own insecurities to take the fun out of the holiday season. Sound good?
