On this podcast episode Mark Bucher, whose charitable journey started by cooking Thanksgiving turkeys for families in need at his restaurant, Medium Rare. During the pandemic, he bought meals from local restaurants to feed the hungry, and this evolved into Feed the Fridge, a DC metro area non-profit that’s changing the way the world tackles food insecurity.

 With a firm belief in humanity and treating others with dignity, Mark has ensured that thousands of people have a healthy, balanced meal to eat every day.  His humanitarianism has helped feed food insecure people and kept the local restaurant business afloat.

 What’s more impressive is that 100% of the donations going to Feed the Fridge are spent on food and feeding the hungry, as Mark covers all of the equipment, supplies and administrative costs.
