“Self-determination and desire to be part of different communities that allows you to blossom well beyond the structure of a house is so critical and central to the organization's mission.”
- Chloe Sigillito
Having a home encompasses more than just the structure of the house. It represents community, growth, love, and safety. Things we often overlook when we think about home.
This is especially true for veterans who have put their lives on the line for the sake of others, leaving them in vulnerable situations where having a home feels impossible.
One organization understands this fully, and realized they have the ability to change the lives of veterans and their families by giving back to the very people that protect us.
Tony and Chloe Sigillito from Building Homes for Heroes join us on today’s episode to talk to us about how their organization has gifted 300 homes to veterans and their families.
After 9/11, the founding members of Building Homes for Heroes came together with the central mission to give back to veterans, after seeing the increasing number of veterans that were coming home disabled.
This organization started with a goal of gifting one home, and have now celebrated an incredible milestone of their 300th gifted home, mortgage free.
Tune in to today’s episode to hear this incredible story of hope and perseverance, and learn how you can help too!
