I'm breaking down the attachment trauma behind why we abandon ourselves: as children, connection becomes conditional. Cry too much, you're dramatic. Say no, you're difficult. Be angry, you're bad. Be sensitive, you're too much. The child learns: my feelings threaten my belonging, my no threatens love, my truth threatens safety.

This episode includes my personal journey learning to honor my no at Shabbat meals, leaving mid-meal when my nervous system was wrung out, discovering that when I honor me, the world honors me.
