Ger Redmond's story is fascinating. From a budding career as a professional footballer, his life was up-ended when tragedy hit his family. His situation led him into a life of crime where he ended up in prison.
However, upon his release he discovered the Ironman event and started upon a new path to become a pro-triathlete. The rest, they say, is history.
Jody and David speak to Ger about his history and what it took to leave behind the life he had to find a new path.
Unfortunately for Jody, Ger also reveals how he managed to go from never having run an Ironman to completing one in just six months! (No pressure there, Jody...)
It's an eye-opening episode, that's sure to keep you gripped.
Plus all the usual rubbish from Jody and David, before and after.
Enjoy!
