  “I, the Lord God, do visit my people in their afflictions.”  This week I share some of my thoughts after the tragic church shooting and fire that took place in Grand Blanc, Michigan. I mention that I am trying to choose faith not fear as a reaction to what happened.  I talk about 3 stories from the scriptures to look at other situations where people have been under a threat of some kind if they were to worship or pray.  I talk of the Anti-Nephi-Lehies, Daniel in the Lion’s Den and Alma. I remind you, that just like the scripture says, God is with us in the hard and tragic events.   I then invite all of us to do good and also to look for the good that is happening around us.
