She had a career as a Registered Nurse and became a Business Project Senior Analyst with a major corporation. Over time, she found that her identity was lost in the marriage and she no longer knew who she was. This was not how she wanted to live her life. Demetrius was blindsided when Emily gathered the courage to share her unhappiness. The couple separated in the home, and discussed divorce.

After a period of months separated, Demetrius and Emily came to the hard truth that they wanted to fight for their marriage. They share their inspiring story of the steps they took to regain the foundation of friendship they had when they first met and the resolve to save their relationship. Demetrius and Emily also discuss the secret sauce to getting out of the rut of living as roommates and building a strong foundation for a lasting marriage.
