Hey everybody! Episode 56 of the show is out. In this episode, I spoke with my friends Ynes, Laura, and Lila Lopez Sanchez. The three women are curanderas, or doctors, from the Shipibo people. Ynes is the mother and teacher of Laura and Lila. I have worked with the three of them on and off for the last decade and so it was a pleasure for me to sit down and catch up with them. They come from a lineage of Shipibo doctors and are a real joy to work with and learn from. They all have a tremendous dedication to this work and bring knowledge, wisdom, strength, love, and lightness to their work which is beautiful to witness. They don’t do many interviews so it was an honor to have them come on and share a bit of their wisdom. The interview is a mix of English, Spanish, and Shipibo.
