Kevyn Zeller’s new East Hamptons studio opens its doors this summer, offering both private sessions and Core Collective Sessions by appointment. For more information or to book a session, visit Kevyn’s website here.
In this Episode:
Aly DiRoma sits down with master instructor Kevyn Zeller to explore how physical spaces—and the emotional energy within them—can profoundly shape our movement experiences. With studios in both the Upper East Side of Manhattan and the East Hamptons, Kevyn shares how she intentionally designs every detail of her environment, from monochromatic walls to a signature scent, to help clients feel grounded the moment they walk in. But her teaching philosophy goes beyond aesthetics—it’s about honoring the full humanity of her clients through deep presence, careful language, and a innovative semi-private format she calls “Core Collective Sessions.”
What unfolds is more than a conversation about Pilates; it’s a deep dive into healing, grief, resilience, and creating belonging through movement. From her own story of loss and recovery to the nuances of reading bodies and teaching with love, Kevyn offers a powerful reminder that movement isn’t just about mechanics—it’s about coming home to ourselves.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
About Kevyn Zeller, Pilates Teacher, Entrepreneur
Kevyn Zeller has been practicing Pilates for 24 years, initially drawn to it after a knee injury sustained during long-distance running in Mexico. Pilates not only facilitated her recovery but also became a fundamental aspect of her life. She holds certifications from The Pilates Center in Boulder, Colorado, including a Master’s Certification, alongside a B.A. in Integrative Physiology from the University of Colorado. With a profound interest in biomechanics and physiology, she approaches her teaching with both artistry and scientific understanding. Having studied under esteemed teachers such as Amy Taylor Alpers, Rachel Taylor Segel, Ron Fletcher, and Cara Reeser, including completing the Kathy Grant Heritage Training, Kevyn's teaching is deeply enriched. Kevyn believes in the transformative power of connecting with one's authentic center for healing. Through her teaching, she empowers clients to recognize their innate abilities and works with individuals of all ages and fitness levels, assisting them in injury recovery, strength-building, and adopting healthier lifestyles. Her teaching style is characterized by clear guidance within a safe, peaceful environment, fostering transformative experiences through a meditative flow that cultivates profound awareness and personal growth.
