Trigger warning: This episode covers topics such as eating disorders, body image issues and mental health issues. If you find these conversations distressing, skip this episode and come back next week.
This week we have the amazing Annika Pfitzinger on the pod. Anni is a kiwi runner who grew up with two very successful running parents. Her father, Pete, represented the US in the ‘84 and ‘88 Olympics for the marathon and mother, Christine, ran for NZ at the ‘88 Olympics. Anni excelled at running through her teenage years and early twenties, but over the last 5 years has suffered severe health challenges. Thankfully Anni has come back stronger than ever and recently placed second at the New Zealand Cross Country champs. We can't wait for you to hear her story of strength and resilience.
