Welcome to the Ascend: to the line training series. This series is all about highlighting the women's running community in the build up to the Nike After Dark Syd race in September.
While this series follows the journey to the Nike After Dark Tour, it's about so much more than one race. Whether you're lining up on the start line in September or simply love running, you'll find stories, lessons, and conversations that will inspire every part of your own running journey.
This week we welcome Giselle Moor to the Femmi Pod. Giselle is a keynote speaker, disability inclusion advocate and marathoner whose story is a powerful reminder of what’s possible when we challenge the limits placed on ourselves, and by the world around us.
After a life-changing accident transformed the course of her life, Giselle has rebuilt with courage, curiosity and an unwavering determination to keep moving forward. A wheelchair user and passionate advocate for greater inclusion, she brings an honest and deeply human perspective to conversations around disability, resilience, identity and belonging.
Giselle has completed four marathons in four years, taking on the 42.2km distance in her everyday wheelchair and turning endurance sport into another platform for visibility and change. As a key Femmi Sydney community member Giselle is lining up for the Nike ADT Syd this Sept.
