Tony Gadzi is a 20 year old college student from Jersey.  I first met him in the middle of the Hungryland 100 down in south Florida.  First off, this race is one you would expect to see all the usual suspects (the ones who thrive in difficult conditions) at a Sandspur Ultras race because Mikey Bee (race director) is a bit of a sadist.  He doesn't have any easy races.  I see this unfamiliar young man and the first time I noticed him he was running barefoot.  I introduced myself to him at the end of one of his loops and of course offered him food.  He was probably the most polite and respectful person there, lol, with the race photographers, the Krishers a close second.  Haha.  We all know the entire ultra running community is big on love and respect, so this is grasping at straws but I digress.  I wanted/needed to hear his story after meeting him and watching him chip away at this epic challenge without ever showing 1 smidge of doubt.  And here it is!  I'm happy to share it with you.  Enjoy.
